SOD Racing Programs

New Program Options for 2020-2021 Season

SOD Program Overview

Glacier offers a 9 and 15 week SOD training program. The 15-week program begins on Dec 19 and finishes on March 28. The 9-week program begins on Jan 2, 2021 and finishes on March 6. Training occurs on both Saturday and Sunday for all age groups. Due to the Covid-19 situation, Alpine Ontario has not scheduled races during the season. Glacier's head coach Taylor Martin is in communication with the other Huronia clubs, however, no commitment can be made at this time about season races.

The season starts with one or two Pre-season Camps and a Christmas Camp (highly recommended) where new racers learn the racing techniques and the returning racers get a chance to build on last seasons' successes. Training days start at 9:30 am and consist of five hours of coaching with a one-hour lunch break. Videotaping and reviews provide athletes and coaches with great learning too!
